9-24-07: Hello again. I have a lot to do today and I am behind, so this will have to be quick. Hobs and I (Stephen) flew to Lubbock this weekend so I could go to my 10 year high school reunion (there really was no reunion, just the football game). There were only about 7 or 8 of us there, which confirms my belief that my class was and is still really lame. The highlight of the evening was when a girl I graduated with, and went to school with for 3 years (in a class of about 40, mind you), and who I actually hung out with had no idea what my name was. I must have really made an impact. It always makes you feel good when someone introduces you and your best friend to their husband as "these are 2 guys I went to high school with." Oh well. Hobs had a great time at my parents house. I posted about 5 pictures of him and Nonni (my mom) playing HERE.

Anyway, I am now officially a published author. I submitted an article that I wrote to a professional journal last spring, and it was published last week. Here is the link:

for any of you that are bored enough to read it. Just in case you can't read a table of contents, I am on page 14.

That is about it for now, have a good one.

9-17-07: Hello. I hope everyone had a good week. Ours was pretty uneventful. I mentioned in the 100 things about us post a few weeks ago that one of Hobs' favorite songs is the "Chiggy-Chiggy." I have been meaning to tape him doing it since it is so funny (to us at least). I finally did. It is HERE. He loves to throw balls too, so he does that a couple times throughout the video. Please no comments about my singing or dancing. I had to take one for the team to get it on video.

Anyway, I realize at times my posts become a bit monotonous, so thinking back over the past few weeks, I have decided to play a game called "How Come." The concept is pretty simple, I am sure you will catch on:

How come . . . . .

I always go to bed earlier on Friday nights than any other night of the week?

Reality TV fascinates me?

By the time you finish washing, folding, and putting away laundry, it is time to start over again?

It takes me 30 minutes to unload the dishwasher?

I hate taking showers (or baths for that matter)?

My ankle still hurts?

People take their kids to Wal-Mart at 11:30 PM?

I am at Wal-Mart at 11:30 PM?

Some parents refuse to control their kids when in public?

People still say "you shaved your head!" when they see me, although I did it over a year ago?

You are still reading this lame list?

Blood makes me nauseas?

Our cat eats 3 times the amount of food as our dog?

That's it for now . . . . Feel free to add one of your own:

9-10-07: Good morning everyone. I hope everyone had a good Labor Day weekend. We did. We didn't do much. My mom and dad came into town Sunday night, and were nice enough to baby-sit while Hollie and I went to the movies. We have actually been twice in a month, which makes twice this year. Anyway, it was nice to be able to do that.
Hobs survived his first week of pre-school. He has been exhausted at the end of the days that he goes, but he is doing well. Here is a pic of him and Hollie on the first day.

This weekend was pretty uneventful. Friday night we went and had dinner with Penny. Hollie and I have been watching the second season of Prison Break on DVD since it came out last Tuesday. We have done the first 5 DVDs and have one left. That has consumed most of our time that we aren't playing with Hobs. We decided we better get all the TV watching in we can before I get too busy with school. Otherwise that is about it. One funny story before I go. Saturday Hollie and I were cleaning the kitchen after breakfast. Hobs had wondered into the formal living room. His new thing is to pull Hollie's purse or diaper bag off the couch and empty them to look for stuff to play with. Well, he had been in there for about 3 minutes and was very quiet. So, we went to check on him and found this (click here). I guess he wasn't quite done with breakfast yet. Needless to say, Hollie has decided to be sure she puts all the groceries up in the future. See ya next week.
