6-25-07: Hey . . . I hope everyone is having a good week so far. We had a pretty uneventful past week. My parents came into town this weekend, so it was really nice spending some time with them. They left this morning. I am finishing up summer school. I start lecturing for the class I am co-teaching at UTA in a couple weeks, so I will start preparing for that I guess. Anyway, we are all (Hobs too, we can tell) really getting excited about our Puerto Rico trip. That will be the next big thing this summer. That's about it for now. Hobs is officially walking full time now. He has almost given up completely on crawling. I put a video of him walking through the house HERE. Enjoy. See ya'll later.
6-18-07: Hello again. I hope everyone had a good week, and a nice father's day. We did. Friday night, Hollie and I cooked out some of the steaks for my b-day. Saturday night, we went to dinner with our friends to celebrate, then went bowling afterward (which was fun). Sunday was fun. We went to church, then to Penny's for lunch. After that, we went bowling again (at our niece and nephew's request). I'll tell ya, I didn't know you could be sore from bowling, but you can. My father's day was great. Hollie spoiled me. She gave me some pics of Hobs, then got me an outdoor fireplace for the patio, which I have wanted for a long time. As soon as it drops back below 95 degrees, we can use it. Well, on a not so fun note, Hobs is sick. He didn't sleep well Saturday night, and had a little fever. We chalked it up to teething, but last night he was really sick and had a 103 fever. The Dr. said it wasn't strep, just a virus. He is acting better today, but still doesn't want to eat much (which is VERY unlike him). That's about it for now. Have a good week.
6-11-07: OK, I admit it, I have been lazy. I had minor computer problems over the past 2 weeks that I took as an excuse to not update. By computer problems, I mean I was too busy watching TV. Anyway, I apologize. Hobs has gone through a lot in the past few weeks. He has started walking. He started with only a few steps, but today he walked all the way across the living room alone. He walked all over church yesterday holding our hands, and I think that gave him the confidence to do more by himself. My mom and grandparents came into town last week, which was fun. They stayed a couple nights. Hobs had his first haircut last week, which was highly traumatic for him, but it looks good. Those pics are HERE. The next day, we took him swimming for the first time at Graham's house (Hollie's mom). He loved it. Those pics are HERE. Anyway, that is about it for now. We are excited because Hollie's mom decided that it is time all of her side of the family take a big trip together, so next month we are all going to Puerto Rico for a week. It should be great. We haven't ever gone, so we are excited. That's about it for now. Be sure to look at the pics.
