Here's what's going on in our lives (if you care):

January 2006

1-23-06: Hello - I hope everyone's weekends went well. Ours was busy, but fun. Friday night, as usual, we had small group. Saturday morning, we got up and went to my school so I could judge a cub scout pine wood derby race. It was a lot of fun. We then had our weekly child birthing class, which is always interesting to say the least. That night, we went out to Fort Worth to celebrate one of our friend's birthdays, and had a blast! (Sarah K. - if you are reading this, tell your husband he is a punk!!). Anyway, it was a lot of fun to hang out with them, as usual. Yesterday, we got up and went to church, then came home and cleaned up the house, and began cleaning out the closet in the nursery. Actually, the closet is now clean, but its contents are spread out over the hall upstairs, so we still have some work to do. After that, we just laid around and watched a movie while we folded laundry. That's about it. Nothing too exciting this week. This weekend Mike and Katie are coming over to help us paint the nursery, and maybe some of the other rooms in the house if we can talk them into it. Have a good week.

1-17-06: Good morning. I was off yesterday, that's why this is a day late. Our weekend was pretty good. Friday night, we of course had small group. Saturday, we had child birth classes again, then went over to some friend's house from church to play poker (the girls just hung out down stairs). Sunday, I got to go to the National Title Celebration in Austin. I drove down with a friend from the neighborhood that morning. We picked up Anthony at his place, then went and tailgated for a while before getting in line. The celebration was really cool. Afterward, we hung out a while and got some pics of the tower. We drove back that night and got home around 2:30 am, but it was worth it! I took a bunch of pics and posted a lot of them HERE. I also had to video the "Texas Fight" chant, and that is HERE. Yesterday, I had a dentist appointment in the morning, and then just hung out at the house all day. Hollie had to work unfortunately. Oh well, off to work. Talk to you next week.

1-9-06: Good morning. I hope you all had a good week. Ours was awesome. The main reason it was really awesome was the fact that Texas won the National Championship!! It was unbelievable, and I still think I am in shock! We watched the game Wednesday night, and I have watched it everyday since then at least once. It is, of course, bitter sweet now that Vince Young has decided to go pro, but who can blame him . . . Oh well, it was great while it lasted. Other than that, we have decided to take the house off the market. We just like our house too much, and decided we wanted to live there instead of an apartment when the baby comes, so that is a huge stress relief. Anyway, we had a good weekend, but busy. Friday night, we had small group out to the house. Saturday morning, we got up, and went to pick up the crib and dresser/changing table in Frisco. We then went to our first child birth class, which was interesting to say the least. After that, we ran some more errands and went home that night and assembled the furniture. Yesterday, after church we continued our errands. We went and bought a crib mattress, then went to Lowe's to get some wood so I could make some improvements to the crib (we took some pics of the crib, but I decided that might be a little too boring for the website). Last night, we just laid around and did nothing. I have started up the ol' diet again today, so it is back to getting up at 4:45 to work out each morning, but oh well, that is what I get for being fat. Have a good one, see ya'll next week.

1-3-06: Hello everyone, and happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We had a very nice holiday. I won't bore everyone with all of the details, but we flew to Lubbock for 5 days, which was nice. We flew back the 27th, and spent a few days with our friends Amy and Brett. We went out to dinner with some friends for Hollie's b-day on the 29th. New Year's eve, we had our small group out to the house for a party, which was fun. Other than that, nothing too exciting. Texas is in the Rose Bowl of course tomorrow night, so that is all I can think about today!! I hope they slaughter those dirty trojans. Anyway, that is all for now, see you all next week.
