God, thank you for promising us something beyond what we have here. Help us to keep that perspective in all that we do.

Col 1:9-10

I continue praying for you. I ask God to give you a complete understanding of what he wants to do in your life, and I ask him to make you wise with spiritual wisdom.  Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and you will continually do good, kind things for others.  All the while, you will learn to know God better and better.

God, please guide us and help us see what you want from us. Help us make choices that are in line with your plan, and give us the confidence that those choices are correct.

Attention, all! See the marvels of God!
      He plants flowers and trees all over the earth,
   Bans war from pole to pole,
      breaks all the weapons across his knee.
   "Step out of the traffic! Take a long,
      loving look at me, your High God,
      above politics, above everything."

God, please help us to take a step back and just appreciate all you do for us. Help us to trust you, and not rely on anything we have in this world, but on you.
