Here's what's going on in our lives (if you care):

December 2005

12-19-05: Hello, and Merry Christmas. This will be my last post before the new year. Things are good with us. We had a very busy and fun weekend. We had Christmas #1 with Hollie's side of the family. Friday night, everyone got there, and we had a huge meal and opened gifts. That is when all the kids found out we were all going to Six Flags the next day. They were all, of course, excited. After that, some of the adults stayed up and played poker until about 2 a.m. The next morning, I got up early and stood in line for 2 hours to get a haircut. A place by us was having its grand opening, and the first 100 people got free haircuts for a year, so of course, I had to take advantage of that! I came home, then we all loaded up and headed off for Six Flags. We had a really good time. We stayed from open to close (about 2:45 - 11:30 that night). Everyone was wiped out by the end of it. The next morning, Hollie, Penny and I got up and headed to church. I taught class, then we headed home and crashed for the afternoon. Last night Hollie and I went to dinner and a movie to celebrate our anniversary. Our actual anniversary was Thursday, but I had my work Christmas party that night, so we didn't get to go out until last night. It was really nice just to spend some time alone, and just relax. Oh well, back to work today. Our friends Amy and Brett are driving in tonight, and it's the first time we have seen them since they moved to Florida in July, so we are excited. We will be here until Thursday night, then we will fly to Lubbock for Christmas. That's about it. Have a good Holiday, talk to you when we get back. The pictures from this weekend are HERE.

12-12-05: Good morning. Hope everyone is having a good Monday. It seems like a long time since last Monday. Last week was very cold here. We had an ice storm Wednesday night, which was a real pain. It took me 3 hours to drive home from work that night. Thursday, Hollie and I both didn't have to go to work because of the ice, so we got to spend the day at home. We played video games, and when the ice melted some, we went out and bought some baby clothes from the store in front of our neighborhood. We then thought it would be a good idea to dress our dog up on some of the clothes. Those pics are HERE. Our weekend seemed very long too, probably because we spent most of it away from home. Friday night, we had small group, and hung out there until about 10:30. Saturday morning, we got up early and drove to Waco to celebrate Christmas with Hollie's dad and grandma. We then drove back Sunday morning early to get to church in time to teach class. After church, we had lunch with some friends, then spent the rest of the day apartment shopping, just in case we ever do actually sell our house. That's about it. This is the last full week of school for me, so that is nice. We fly to Lubbock next week, so we are both looking forward to that. Oh well, that's it for now. Have a good week.

12-5-05: Good morning. I hope everyone had a good weekend. Ours went pretty good. Friday night, we went and started the fantastic process of registering for baby gifts. After 2 1/2 fun filled hours at Babies R' Us, we finally left. We then went home and both passed out in the game room watching TV. Saturday, we woke up, Hollie cooked breakfast (since it was about 11 when she cooked it, I guess it could be called lunch), and I sat on the couch and began a busy afternoon of football watching. After watching my Longhorns throttle Colorado AND WIN A PLACE IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, we decided that we didn't have enough registering fun the night before, so we went to Target and registered there too. We then went home, and did nothing. Yesterday after church, we went to lunch with some friends. Last night, we decided to go to Six Flags with Mike and Katie to Holiday in the Park. I guess we thought we weren't cold enough already, so we thought it would be fun to go outside and ride roller coasters in 40 degree weather. Actually, we had a really good time. We are going to go back with Hollie's family in a couple of weeks. We took a few pictures last night, but it was really dark, so most of them are blurry. They are HERE.

That's about it for today. See you next week.
