Here's what's going on in our lives (if you care):

August 2008

8-25-08: Well, not a whole lot has gone on in the past week. In fact, I can't think of a single noteworthy event. The kids are doing well, and we are starting back to school this week. On a side note, I have to say, I am deeply upset by the Olympics ending. I was so addicted to it. I watched it all the time, even sports I care nothing about. Anyway, only four years to go until it comes on again, so I will start the countdown.

Anyway, if you have anything in particular you would like me to write about, or something you want to know, please feel free to comment at the link below and I will accommodate, otherwise, sorry for the boring update.

8-18-08: Hello again. School is starts today for me, so I don't have too long to write. Things are good. Hobs went bowling for the first time this week, and he loved it. He did it all by himself, we didn't even have to get up and help him. Penn is doing fine. His arm is getting better, not as much of a hole anymore. That's about it for now. If you didn't check last week, we have a lot of stuff as far as videos and pics, so scroll down and check it out. Talk to you later.

8-11-08: Hello, I missed you. Sorry for the delay, but the summer got away from me, and before I knew it, I had so much to post I never took the time to sit and do it. So now it is 2 AM, so what better time than now? We had a really busy summer. I passed comps and turned 30. I worked summer school, and Hollie stayed home with the kids. We went to Odessa for the 4th of July, to Lubbock to see my family, to Florida to see our great friends Amy and Brett, to our kids' first Ranger's game,  Hobs rode is first roller coaster at Joyland, and Penn is doing great. He is getting big and starting to do a lot of fun stuff. We are still being dragged through genetic testing. I say we, but it's Penn taking the brunt of it (i.e. skin graph). It turns out that the once "very rare chance" that he has that digestion deficiency is becoming less rare. Keep him in your prayers, we will know more by the beginning of November (that's right, November). That is the quick version of our summer. I have posted tons of pics and vids below that pretty much summarizes our summer. Oh yeah, a couple of quick shout outs: First, to my sister. It is her 33rd b-day today. Happy b-day Lisa. Second, to my Granny. It really just struck me while we were in Lubbock what an amazing woman she is. She is nearing 80, but she is still the same woman to me she was when I was 5 years old. She still cooks, plays with the great-grandkids, travels, and does whatever else she wants to, and does it all well. God has blessed me with her, as well as my Pappy. That is why Penn is named after her (Penn McCasland). I just wanted to say that before I sent you off to look at pictures for the rest of the day. That's it for now, adios.
