Here's what's going on in our lives (if you care):

April 2008

4-28-08: Well, several things have changed in the past week. Penn is here . . . and he is perfect. He came Thursday night at 8:00, and was 9lbs, 14.5oz. I won't put many details of the birth here, for that, feel free to wade through the birth story. Hollie had a c-section, so we stayed in the hospital until Sunday afternoon. Hobs is doing great with the change. Friday we had several visitors, and just hung out in our room most of the day. Hobs and I slept on my very comfortable chair/bed for most of the

afternoon. Saturday, we had more guests, and still just hung out. That night, Penn had to go to the nursery and lay under the lights all night because he was really jaundiced, which was hard to watch. We have elected to keep both of our kids in the room with us during our hospital stays, so it was hard to let Penn go to the nursery for the night, it almost felt lonely in our room. Sunday we went home. Penn and Hollie spent some quality time together while Hobs and I played golf in the front yard a good part of the afternoon. I have tons of pics from the hospital HERE, and put a video of Penn's first bath HERE. Enjoy

That is about it for now. We have several various doctor's appointments this week. I am sure I will have some more pics for you next week. Until then, see ya.

4-21-08: Hey - it's not going to be long today. I had some dental work done this morning, and I am running way behind because of it. Hollie is doing well, as is the (unborn) baby.  Hobs spent the weekend with Penny, so he had a blast. That gave me and Hollie some time to hang out, go to the movie, etc. That's about it for now. Have a good one.

4-14-08: Hello again. Sorry last week was lacking, it has been a little hectic. We are doing well, just waiting around until Penn gets here. Not too much longer. We went and saw some friends in the hospital Friday that just had their baby. It is weird remembering what it is like to have a new kid. I guess Hobs isn't really a baby anymore, so we will have to shift gears back into baby mode before too long. Nothing else is really new. Hollie is feeling good. The baby is doing well, so we are just hanging out doing the same ol' stuff.

We survived the great North Texas tornado of 2008. Wednesday night/Thursday morning we woke up to the sirens outside and the sound of a freight train coming over the house around 4 AM. Hollie went and got Hobs out of his room and moved him to ours in case the windows broke or whatever. It lasted about 20 minutes, then me and Hobs went back to sleep (Hobs never was really awake) and Hollie stayed up and worked around the house. That morning, the damage was pretty bad around the nieghborhood. We are lucky that the only thing that happened to us was a tree blew almost over, but we fixed it the next day. Most people lost fences, trees, roofs, etc. Our 'hood is somewhat of a wreck, but starting to get better. That is about all the excitement there has been lately outside of waiting for the baby to come in a couple weeks.

Oh yeah, we taped Hobs playing his blow-up guitar by the fridge a couple weeks ago, that video is HERE. Enjoy. See you all next week.

4-7-08: Sorry for the lack of update this week, it has been crazy for me, so I haven't had the chance to sit down and write something. Everything is fine with us, I will update next Monday.
